Dear Champions,
On behalf of the Africa CDC and the One By One: Target Covid Campaign, I would like to extend our profound appreciation for your participation in last week’s launch of AfricaCOVIDChampions. By becoming an AfricaCOVIDChampion, you are lending your powerful voice to the fight against COVID-19. Together, we are all part of an historic moment in keeping our continent safe.
Last week's workshop engaged the attention of over 500 influencers through Zoom and across social media livestreams. With this level of energy and engagement, we are sure to win the fight of our lives. Together, we will keep our continent safe from COVID.
We will be in touch with new social media content on a regular basis. We will also send you the official Africa CDC’s AfricaCOVIDChampions Certificate.
In the meantime, and to commemorate your new status as an AfricaCOVIDChampion, please see below for a few graphics with which you might begin your outreach today.
We have already seen many of your posts across social media - and from the tracking we have been doing, it has already made a big impact. Posts with the hashtag #AfricaCOVIDChampions has been seen more than 8 million times - just over the past few days.
To be recognized for your engagement and commitment to spreading accurate information across social media, we ask you to add your social media accounts to this service:
https://keyhole.co/account-tracking/influencer-authentication/1v6o1l2o1n2w2q2. The champions who share the most widely will be recognized in a ceremony at the African Union.
Collectively you have the power to ensure we can keep Africa safe. We are profoundly grateful for your active participation.
Please stay tuned for more information. In the meantime, please stay healthy and well.
With many thanks,
Kate Campana
